PENERAPAN EVIDENCE BASED NURSING (EBN) SISTEMATIK ORAL CARE PADA PASIEN GANGGUAN NEUROLOGI
Abstract
Pasien gangguan neurologis yang dirawat di rumah sakit sebagian besar memiliki masalah dalam menjaga kebersihan gigi dan mulut akibat dari penurunan koordinasi motoric kerusakan kognitif, disfagia, dan beberapa gejala yang lain. Menjaga kebersihan gigi dan mulut salah satu tindakan mandiri keperawatan untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan pasien dan mencegah adanya infeksi. Kegiatan oral care banyak sering dilakukan oleh perawat tetapi terbatas terhadap evidance yang ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki praktik oral care dengan sistematis sesuai evidance based nursing yang ada. Evidance pada peneltian ini mengunakan model PICO. Hasil telaah jurnal perbaikan tindakan keperawatan ini dimulai dari pengkajian gigi dan mulut dengan menggunakan Oral Assesment Guide (OAG) dan modifikasi metode dalam kegiatan oral care. Hasil dari penerapan evidance based nursing pada 12 pasien didapatkan rata-rata skor OAG sebelum dilakukan oral care sebesar 15,25 dengan standar deviasi 1,712. Sedangkan rata-rata skor OAG setelah dilakukan oral care sebesar 10,25 dengan standar deviasi 0,866. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan adanya perbedaan rerata skor OAG yang signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah pemberian intervensi (p = 0,004). Hasil tindakan dapat diterima dengan baik oleh perawat di ruangan dan dilakukan dalam bentuk uji coba. Setiap tindakan keperawatan harus didasarkan pada evidance yang ada sehingga dapat memperbaiki kualitas dari layanan keperawatan.
