Studi Pemilihan Desain Perkerasan Jalan Pada Jalan Yang Rusak Berat Serta Analisa Finansial
Abstract
Road is an infrastructure that plays an important role in traffic flow. Every movement of people or goods on land always uses a transportation system, so the role of the road becomes very important in facilitating the movement that occurs. The development of road traffic volume, especially in Jember Regency, continues to increase rapidly. Many use asphalt and concrete as an alternative to simplify and reduce maintenance costs in terms of highway construction. Flexible pavement tends to be cheaper than concrete (Rigid pavement). It becomes the main method in road construction in field conditions with a road width of 5 meters and a length of 5000 meters. At the construction stage of road pavement, it needs to take into account the thickness used and the financial analysis. The result of the evaluation for vehicle volume's condition includes the low vehicle category. Moreover, the PCI value is 15%. The solution for road handling is planning for asphalt roads (Flexible Pavement) and concrete roads (Rigid Pavement), which will be compared to how much the construction costs and the annual maintenance costs will be for the next 20 years. The planning is also compared with the financial analysis, which can be concluded that, for flexible pavement, the cost is Rp. 31.524.309.555. Whereas, for rigid pavement, the cost is Rp. 34.384.718.712. From the two pavements, it can be concluded that it is cheaper to design flexible (Flexible Pavement) with a cost difference of Rp. 2.860.409.157.
