RESPONS KEITT MANGGA BUAH TERHADAP PENGGUNAAN SUN- BLOK UNTUK MENCEGAH CEDERA SUNBURN [RESPONSE KEITT MANGO FRUIT OF THE USE OF SUN-BLOCK TO PREVENT INJURY INJURY SUNBURN]

Abstract


Keitt mangga (Mangifera indica) pohon disemprot dengan tiga bahan kaolin, magnesium karbonat, dan calamine pada tiga konsentrasi (3, 4, dan 5)% masing-masing untuk mencegah cedera dari sengatan matahari pada buah-buah mangga yang menyebabkan kerugian ekonomi. Semua perawatan yang diterapkan sekali selama musim dua  musim  panas  dalam  penelitian  ini  dan  ketiga  bahan  semprot  tersebut  dibandingkan  dengan  kontrol (penyemprotan air saja) untuk mempelajari efek ketiga bahan semprot tersebut terhadap keterbakaran oleh matahari sehingga mengakibatkan penurunan prosentase buah, hasil, dan kualitas buah mangga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyemprotan kaolin atau magnesium karbonat 5% memiliki efek positif pada pengurangan daerah kulit yang terbakar sinar matahari dan penurunan prosentase buah. Efek ini jelas terdeteksi dengan kaolin diikuti oleh magnesium karbonat pada kondisi penelitian yang dilakukan.
